Born in Barcelona in 1969.

He holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Girona. 

Mascort was mayor of Vilablareix for 11 years, from 2011 to July 2022, and from 2016 to the present he has held the post of Secretary General for Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda. 

He previously worked as director of the Girona Territorial Services of the Ministry of Innovation, University and Enterprise (2007-2011) and as vice-president of Gironès Regional Council (2003-2007).

He holds a master's degree in Business Administration and Management and has worked as an economist and secondary school teacher.
