The Government of Catalonia has outlined 158 ‘specific actions’ to boost its industry in terms of productivity, sustainability and the internationalisation of the Catalan economy.
These actions come under 7 strategic plans defined in the Ministry of Business and Labour’s strategy to make Catalan industrial activity contribute to 25% of Catalonia's GDP by 2020.
The plan was unveiled before 1,000+ business owners in Barcelona’s International Convention Centre, during which the Minister of Business and Labour, Felip Puig, explained that the outline of these actions “was the result of a process of dialogue and negotiation between the business sector and the Government of Catalonia”. In total, more than 300 Catalan businesses actively took part in the design of 158 specific actions some of which, mentioned in the following infographic, are already in operation.
