President Mas meets with Ministers involved in the management of the A320 disaster
The President of the Generalitat, Artur Mas, met with the Heads of all the Ministries in charge of managing the response regarding Tuesday’s Germanwings disaster in Seyne-Les-Alpes (France). The Chief Executive convened with Joana Ortega, Vice President of the Catalan Government; Francesc Homs, Minister of the Presidency; Ramon Espadaler, Home Affairs Minister; Santi Vila, Minister of Territory and Sustainability; Boi Ruiz, Minister of Health, and Germà Gordó, Minister of Justice.
 
During the encounter Vice President Ortega, who arrived on the eve of the meeting from Seyne-Les-Alpes, informed the President and other Member of Government on the activity regarding the coordination and support given to the families of the Catalan victims in the aviation disaster.
 
The President and the Executive Members shared all the information they had obtained regarding the work carried out by forensic experts, emergency services, Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalonia’s police force), Civil Protection and the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, and established the plan of action for the upcoming days.
 
In this same regard, the President and the Ministers agreed to coordinate a personalized service to the relatives of the victims and offer transportation to the site of the incident. Furthermore, the Government will also provide the corresponding authorities with all the necessary the Generalitat can provide for the rescue mission which includes teams of forensic experts, scientific police, fire-fighters, psychologists, and a group dedicated for social support.
