Mission in Zuid-Holland
A delegation of Catalan companies, researchers and directors travelled to the Dutch region of Zuid-Holland this week to visit referential companies and institutions, such as the Dutch Chamber of Commerce and InnovationQuarter, with the intention of exchanging best practices with some of Europe’s leading technological enterprises.
 
Cooperation between Catalonia and Zuid-Holland is strategic as both territories are known for their leading R&D clusters and their strong international business climate. Both regions also show similar traits in specialised industries including but not limited to Cleantech, Life Sciences and Health. In this regard, the joint mission in Zuid-Holland focused on smartCities, the aforementioned sectors as well as specialisation in the logistics and transport industries.
 
Some of the companies visited by the delegation’s mission to Zuid-Holland include YES!DelftLeiden Bio Science Park and The Hague Security Delta. Furthermore, Business to Business (B2B) meetings were arranged to connect the visiting companies from Catalonia to promising business partners.
