This morning, the President of the Catalan Government, Carles Puigdemont, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Institutional Relations and Transparency, Raül Romeva, met with the co-chair of the European Parliament’s Greens/EFA group, Ska Keller, together with other members of the political group.

 

The meeting was held at the Palau de la Generalitat and was convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institutional Relations and Transparency for the purpose of discussing the political situation in Catalonia as well as various matters regarding European policy.

 

In addition to the co-president of the Greens/European Free Alliance parliamentary group, attending today’s meeting were Monica Frassoni of the Italian Green party, Mar García Sanz, secretary-general of the European Green Party, Bodil Valero, Ernest Urtason and Josep Maria Terricabras.

 

The visiting MEPs are also expected to hold various meetings with other Catalan institutional representatives, such as the president of Parliament, Carme Forcadell, and other members of Catalonia’s parliamentary groups.
