The Catalan government has approved a decree that establishes and regulates the strategic bodies that will serve as corporate governance and leadership tools for the digital administration of the Government of Catalonia and its institutional public sector.

The Digital Administration Strategy Council will take the lead in pushing forward and coordinating transversal public policy related to the deployment of the new digital administration model. A technical committee and others involved in the deployment of the new model will report to the Council.

The new regulations define an organisational structure intended to advance digital policy and the transformation of the public sector while also guaranteeing the coordination necessary to ensure uniform and synchronised policy implementation within established deadlines.

The main aim of the new digital administration model is to provide digital public services that are proactive and customised.
