On Wednesday, the Minister for Territory and Sustainability, Damià Calvet; the Secretary for Digital Policy of the Ministry for Digital Policy and Public Administration, David Ferrer; and the general manager of the Metropolitan Transport Authority for the Barcelona area, Pere Torres, presented the Agenda for Digitalisation of Mobility in Catalonia 2020–30 (ADMC), a pioneering tool intended to serve as a roadmap for policy action to move forward with the digitalisation of mobility and transport in Catalonia. The presentation was made within the framework of the Smart City Expo World Congress, where the Government of Catalonia showcased some of its most innovative projects under the slogan “The City of Future”.

The ADMC pulls together objectives and public proposals to be pursued over the next decade in the application of digital technology to mobility. A living document that will constantly evolve, the Agenda is the first tool to cover two spheres – mobility and digitalisation – in a single roadmap.

Minister Calvet said: “The days are numbered for the mobility model most of us grew up with because we want to create societies that are fairer and more sustainable.”
