Catalonia, through its Government’s NewSpace Strategy, will take part for the first time with its own stand at Space Tech Expo Europe, Europe’s largest and most important event for the space industry. This edition, the sixth, will be held from 14 to 16 November in the German city of Bremen.

Promoted by the Government of Catalonia with the support of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC) and the collaboration of the i2CAT Foundation and the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC), the NewSpace Catalonia stand will host 5 companies and organisations from the Catalan space ecosystem: ASE Optics Europe, Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), rebecoSAT, Kreios Space and Osmium.

The Catalan delegation’s participation in this international event aims to give global recognition to the strengths of the Catalan Government’s NewSpace Strategy and the industrial, innovation and talent generation capabilities present in the Catalan ecosystem; show the potential for interaction between the space sector and the digital sector, both of which are strategic for the emergence of the new space economy; and help the Catalan companies and institutions present to do business and establish international contacts as part of an innovative ecosystem. Thus, in addition to participating in activities at the trade fair itself, the Catalan delegation will organise its own activities, such as meetings with other delegations, agencies, actors and companies from other countries.
