With the aim of continuing to build cultural links between Corsica and Catalonia, the Catalan Minister for Culture, Natàlia Garriga, and the director of the Institut Ramon Llull, Pere Almeda, met today with the Corsican Minister for Culture, Antonia Luciani, at the Palau Marc in Barcelona.
During the meeting, various proposals for collaboration were discussed in order to continue to promote cultural exchange between Corsica and Catalonia. In this respect, the last edition of the film and literature festival Arte Mare de Bastia (autumn 2023) continued the tradition of exchange between the two cultures, programming the screening of films by Catalan filmmakers and the publication of translated works by contemporary poets of Catalan literature.
Minister Luciani also visited the headquarters of the Institut Ramon Llull yesterday, where she met with the institution’s director, Pere Almeda, the head of the Creation Department, Maria Lladó, the head of the Literature Department, Joan de Solà, and the Music coordinator, Lluc Silvestre. During the visit, possible joint projects in the Mediterranean area and in the fields of music, film and literature were discussed.
