The President of the Government of Catalonia, Pere Aragonès, accompanied by the Minister for Equality and Feminisms, Tània Verge, welcomed Angela Davis, activist, Distinguished Professor Emerita in the History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies Departments at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Pompeu Fabra University, to the Palau de la Generalitat.

Davis signed the visitors' book in the Palau at the beginning of the meeting, during which those attending reflected on the current situation and on the policies focusing on feminism and equality that the Catalan Government has implemented during its term of office.

The meeting was also attended by the Director General for Migrations, Refugees and Antiracism, Eunice Romero Rivera, and the Basque political philosopher, writer and feminist activist, Jule Goikoetxea.
