The American technology company Dataxstream will create 30 jobs as it opens its first European base in Barcelona. The company, which has developed software for other companies to optimise the management of complex orders, will pivot the growth of its business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from the Catalan capital. Dataxstream has been supported by the Government of Catalonia in setting up its offices in Catalonia.

According to Dataxstream’s EMEA president, Jean-Jérôme Peytavi, “we are delighted to open our office in Barcelona and Catalonia:the city and the territory have a lot to offer, the technological ecosystem is strong, the universities are internationally renowned, and we’re impressed by the diversity of profiles and the level of local talent”. Jean-Jérôme said that “ACCIÓ has helped us enormously in our decision and has given us very efficient guidance since our first visit from the United States.” He added that“our expansion is driven by the desire to offer our product to SAP customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the growing global demand for more efficient service solutions like this one”.

Dataxstream develops a software platform linked directly to the SAP IT system to optimise multi-channel sales execution, enabling customers to simplify management of complex orders and accelerate sales, improving both efficiency and ultimately customer satisfaction. The company also offers advice and consultancy services, and a service for the gradual adaptation and integration of the platform and technology into the client’s business model. Dataxstream is also able to provide complementary artificial intelligence and machine learning services.

In its Barcelona office, which is already up and running, the company will work on identifying business opportunities in the Catalan, Spanish and international markets, and on developing and improving its product. Dataxstream is an American company, based in Williamsburg (Virginia, USA) and Buenos Aires (Argentina), with a workforce of 90 employees all over the world and more than 25 years’ experience.
